To try to outline the plot of this book is impossible. There are numerous story lines which wrap around each other, the timeline is confusing and the list of characters immense. All I can say is that I am rationing myself as I only have two books left and I devour these novels over a couple of days. I cannot say it is the quality of the writing because these are not high literature. I cannot say that I am rooting for any character because none are particularly worthy of support. All I can say is that the stories of Westeros are completely addictive, brilliantly plotted and like nothing else I have ever seen.
